Fue el campanario de la catedral de la primera Panamá. Sobrevivió al fuego de 1671, al abandono y a los siglos de lluvia y salitre. When the city moved away, the tower stayed — and over time it went from ruin to symbol: today it is one of the country's most recognizable silhouettes.
